I had the chance to spend a night in this fabulous hotel. It was a lifetime experience. The hot spring was magnificent. Looking forward to a chance and visit again.
Great place. Loved the private pool in our apartment.
I chose this as my lodging for the day because I was going to the Shimoda Undersea Aquarium. And it was a great answer!! ︎
I had previously visited the Uehara Museum of Art, so it was easy to find since it was nearby.
The fact that the source of this hotel is an alkaline spring with a pH of over 9 was interesting and one of the reasons I chose this place.
The lobby, guest rooms, large public bath, and other areas are all well-maintained and clean. Of course, I liked the quality of the hot springs ♨️.
Personally, I like the fact that you can eat at the restaurant instead of in your room. The quality, content, and quantity of the food is also perfect. I was also impressed by the thoughtfulness and kindness of the restaurant staff.
The breakfast buffet was also very enjoyable with lots of delicious food. After breakfast, I was able to take a relaxing morning bath in the open-air bath in my room until I checked out.
In my case, I don't evaluate hotels or inns after staying once, but I was able to experience the stability and security of the "hospitality" at this inn, so I rate it even though it was my first stay. I was able to do it.
Of course, we will definitely return to this inn!! ︎(^^)
I stayed at this hotel with my little one and it was a very nice hotel. I would like to stay here again when I visit Shimoda.
As the name suggests, it's a villa in Satoyama, but it's not a luxurious hotel, it's more like a two-story inn, and I was able to spend a very relaxing time there.
Most importantly, all the staff were very kind.
Just before we arrived at the hotel, my child vomited in the car, but the car guide staff member noticed this and was extremely thorough in following us up.
Even in the car, I was a little confused since it was on the hotel grounds, but I was grateful that they wiped the car and my child faster and more carefully than I did.
I was very grateful that even though my hands were dirty, I didn't show any unpleasant behavior, and that I was able to care for my child from beginning to end so that she was in a good mood.
The room and the entire hotel were clean and calm.
The rice was also delicious, including abalone, fresh fish, and simmered golden sea bream.
The children had a great time and said it was the best hotel they had ever stayed at.
I don't go there very often because it's far from Shimoda, but I would like to stay there again when I go to Shimoda.
I stayed in a room with an open air bath on the weekend. Both the public bath and the open-air bath are spacious, clean, and full of greenery, and the hot water is so soft that you can soak in it for as long as you want. At a hot spring, it's really nice to have bottled milk after your bath, ice cream and drinks in the lobby, and above all, an ice maker. The food was seasonal and local, and the taste and quantity were good. Especially when eaten outside, the fish is often boiled with a strong flavor, and the famous Kinme seasoning is just right and elegant and very satisfying. It was fun to play table tennis for the first time in a while, the bed was just right, not too soft, and the height of the chairs and table in the room was nice, which is what I want in my house. The point is, it's not that I'm trying to be weird or offer any special services, but it's reasonably priced, comfortable, and the hospitality is just right. It was a mysterious inn that was so satisfying that I really wanted to visit right away. I wish it was a little easier to get to!
As you drive down the mountain road, a luxurious, golden building suddenly appears, making you feel like you've wandered into another world. Since it was dusk, I was impressed by its appearance.
I stayed in a special room (corner room 108) for one night. We were directed to park the car indoors, so we didn't get wet when we left as it rained heavily the next day. It was then that I understood the reason for indoor parking. I was impressed by the attention to detail.
The woman in charge of the room is wonderful. The exquisite sense of distance between each other allowed me to relax and not feel burdened. There are a total of 3 TVs in the room, and my wife, who is a TV person, is very satisfied. There are TVs near the ceiling, so she can see it normally even when she's lying on the bed. My wife also got stuck in the massage chair provided.
The toilet is 6 tatami mats wide, clean with no ammonia odor, and equipped with TOTO's latest shower toilet. The bed is a high-grade Airweave, and the comfort level is the same as Serta, which is a regular hotel in a luxury hotel.
All the drinks in the refrigerator were free, including the beer, and the dinner was a masterpiece where you could feel the passion of the chef in every detail. The taste was elegant and bland. To be honest, it was a waste for my wife and I, who have no sense of taste. What impressed me most about the breakfast was the spiny lobster miso soup and the dried golden sea bream, both of which were so delicious that I could eat three bowls of rice with just these. The rice was a bit soft and I would like to request harder rice next time.
Strangely enough, even though it was fully booked, I didn't meet any other guests in the hallway. I went to the public bath twice, but it was reserved for private use. It's also nice that you can take a bath 24 hours a day. I like the temperature of the hot water in the large open-air bath because it's not too hot. I was satisfied with everything.
I used it on the last Saturday and Sunday of October.
I was a little surprised when I received a reconfirmation notice before my stay date.
From the moment I picked up and dropped off at Shimoda Station, all the staff were smiling and warm, which made me very happy.
Even when we just passed each other in the building, people would say hello to us and give us gentle smiles, which made us feel very valued.
This time I chose a room with an open-air bath, and it was a great decision. The quality of the spring water is pleasant, and it leaves your skin smooth and moisturized.
The public bath was also well-maintained, with plenty of towels and amenities.
It's my first time drinking hot springs. It was a strange experience.
In addition to loungewear, the room also comes with pajamas and bathrobes, making it perfect for your stay.
It was quiet and relaxing.
The food was also very delicious.
The seasonal menu is very nice.
I was extremely happy with the spiny lobster sashimi served with fresh wasabi.
Most boiled Kinmedai have a strong flavor, but this one was fluffy and I was impressed by the elegant seasoning!
The compatibility with Kinuhikari was also outstanding.
The timing was perfect as it was the Rugby World Cup final.
I was able to see a good number of Asagi cod as well.
Although Shimoda is a little far away, it is an inn that I would definitely like to visit again if I have the chance.
I wanted to enjoy a solo hot spring trip, so I used a room with a garden and hot spring.
As everyone's reviews said, it was a great hotel.
We enjoyed the hot springs😌♨️🍶 and meals in a relaxing guest room.
I am very satisfied with the pleasant service from all the staff.
The public bath was large and I thoroughly enjoyed the sauna.
The hot spring in your room is large and you can bathe at any time, so you can spend a luxurious time.
